Guildford International Music Festival 2013

Two quite different pieces by Sandy Dobson are appearing in the GIMF this year, both collaborative pieces with good friends.

Firstly there's a collaboration with Tom Kilworth titled "Root and Cane" as part of the Surrey University Composers' concert 2013. This will be a piece composed for chamber orchestra, pre-rendered electronics and live monome and will feature alongside five other newly composed pieces for chamber orchestra by a wide variety of composers from different musical backgrounds.

Second, Sandy and Sian Goldby will be reproducing their collaborative installation/performance Protocol Projects, originally created for the Siobhan Davies dance studio as part of the Big Dance festival 2012. This year, as part of GIMF, Protocol Projects will be reinvented for the Guildford castle keep.
